Sagip Kapamilya Relief Operation Update as of Oct 8
October 09, 2009
It’s been two weeks since Typhoon Ondoy battered Luzon including Metro Manila. Two weeks of pain, of sufferings of families whose houses and properties have been washed away by flood and mud. But behind these disheartening stories are stories of bravery and heroism of rescue workers and volunteers who selflessly gave their time and energy in saving the people in distress and in providing relief assistance.
As of October 8, 5:30PM, Sagip Kapamilya has provided food and non-food relief items to 357,660 families. More families are expected to receive help especially those affected by Typhoon Pepeng.
“Sagip Kapamilya’s relief operations is a living testimony of massive generosity, human concern, abiding resiliency and divine love”, says Marcel Riñon, Operations Head at the Sagip Kapamilya Examiner Warehouse.
